WHY TAKE THIS COURSE?
When working at height, a competent person must develop a rescue plan to rescue a person from height. There are many different systems and we can tailor the training to these. Some of the best known systems are the GOTCHA rescue 2 kit, BIGBEN rescue and evacuation kit, Champion Gear rescue kit, VSAVE descender and the IKAR controlled descent device rescue kit.

Overview
We can tailor this training to your rescue kit. In order to make this as realistic as possible we use a weight similar to casualty rather than rescuing a person. This is a much safer method of practising the use of such kits. We also offer rescue drill refreshers at either 3 or 6 month intervals so as to maintain the skill level of the operatives.
To complete this training, the candidates must have completed and have a valid certificate in the safe use of a harness. However, we can complete the harness and rescue system training in one day if required.
You will receive formal training and assessment in the safe working practices required.

TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT
The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical work. You will be assessed through the day culminating in theory questions. All of our trainers are accredited.
The non-equipment based courses can normally accommodate 6 candidates depending on the course and level of experience.
As with all of our courses, we ask if the candidates can read and understand English. We can provide a translator for the entire course or just for the theory if necessary, but there is an extra charge and we need to know this at the booking stage.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATION
Upon successfully completing the course you will be awarded a 4Safety certificate.
