JSAT Basic or JSAT Advanced

JSAT Basic is intended to raise awareness of health and safety issues in construction. It is not an examination of an individual's competency.
JSAT Advanced is for anyone who supervises others within the construction or allied industries. It is particularly relevant to those fulfilling the roles of Contracts Management, Site Management and Site Supervisors.
Successfully passing the Jersey Safety Advanced Test at a Registered Testing Station will demonstrate an advanced knowledge of construction site health and safety management and an understanding of the 2016 Management in Construction Regulations. There is a bank of 200 questions and you will be asked 60 of these. In order to be successful you must achieve 90%.
The Jersey Safety Awareness Test (JSAT) can assist employers in complying with the general duties placed on them under Articles 3 and 5 of the Health and Safety at Work (Jersey) Law 1989 and the Health and Safety (Management in Construction) (Jersey) Regulations 2016. There is a bank of 420 questions and you will be asked 42 of these. In order to be successful you must achieve 80%

The test includes multiple choice questions, these are randomly selected from a question set, see the sample questions on the tab above.
The pass rate is 80% for JSAT Basic and 90% for JSAT Advanced.
Charges
The current cost is £15.00 per card, plus £10.00 per attempt (+GST) and on successfully passing the test you are issued with a card, once payment has been made
If conducting the JSAT's out on site an additional fee will apply
The JSAT test is valid for 3 years after which it will need to be re-taken. Reminders will not be issued.
